The sidebar on the left is your connection list. From there you search servers, open terminals, manage groups, and open tools like the file manager.

Search -- Click the search bar or press
Ctrl+F(Cmd+Fon macOS) -
Connect -- Double-click a server, or select it and press
Enter -
New connection -- Click + (or
Ctrl+Shift+N/Cmd+N) - Organize -- Drag into groups, or right-click for more actions

Hide or show -- Press
F9(Cmd+Bon macOS), or click the sidebar toggle in the header bar

| Mode | What you see |
|---|---|
| Full (default) | Names, hostnames, status, and the usual controls |
| Minimal | A narrow strip of avatars/icons — more room for the terminal |
- Settings → Interface → Sidebar Mode → Minimal (saved for next time)
- Or click Minimize sidebar to icons at the bottom of the sidebar
- Settings → Interface → Sidebar Mode → Full
- Or click the expand control on the minimal strip
In Minimal mode, Settings → Interface → Minimized Row Style chooses Initials or Icon.
