brew install --cask roypadina/tap/ntfybarNtfyBar releases are self-signed with a stable identity, so permissions survive updates (not notarized, so first launch still needs Open Anyway). macOS may block it the first time. Do one of these:
-
Right-click NtfyBar in
/Applicationsand choose Open. -
Or run once:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/NtfyBar.app"
macOS asks for notification permission on first launch. Allow it. See Permissions.
NtfyBar has no auto-update and never checks for updates. Update with Homebrew:
brew upgrade --cask ntfybarSee Building from source.
If you turned on Launch at login, switch it off first in Settings › General. Then:
brew uninstall --cask ntfybarTo remove your data too (~/Library/Application Support/NtfyBar/):
brew uninstall --zap --cask ntfybarNext: Usage.
