Submarine Manager
Use Submarine Manager to view, spawn, rename, delete, and repair the selected nation's submarines. Right-click the nation in the main window and choose Submarine Manager.
Use Search and the state filter to narrow the roster. Choose All and clear Search to show everything. Click a column heading to sort, and use the horizontal scrollbar to see additional columns. Select a row to inspect its saved details.
The Save slot column is the boat's position in the roster, not the campaign's Game folder number. In service identifies a completed boat; it does not guarantee deployment or readiness.
- Choose Submarine Type: SSC Coastal, SS Submarine, SSM Minelaying, SSL Long range, or SSG Missile.
- Review New name. It defaults to the first unused Privateer X number in this nation's roster. You can enter another unique name.
- Choose Spawn location from the nation's home area or an existing submarine service location.
- Select Spawn to add a completed boat to the pending list. Repeat to add more boats; the suggested name advances automatically.
- Choose Apply, then Save or Save As in the main window.
Existing submarines are not required. The application includes the reference data, so no separate reference save is needed. New boats have no remaining construction time and use the current campaign year as their build year. Their reference stats are fixed and are not scaled to the destination's technology or year. Spawning does not directly deduct construction funds.
Right-click a row to select that submarine and choose an action:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Rename | Enter a unique, nonblank name. |
| Delete | Remove the selected submarine from the roster. |
| Repair | Set Availability to 135, leaving all other fields unchanged. This does not restore a sunk or historical boat to service. |
All submarine changes remain pending until Apply, including spawning and right-click actions. Apply accepts the pending changes and closes the manager. You must then use Save or Save As in the main window to write them to disk.
Cancel, Escape, or the window close button discards all changes made during that visit to the manager. Before Apply, Cancel can undo a pending deletion. After applying and saving, use a retained backup if you need to restore the previous campaign.
Submarine transfers are not available. Keep a campaign backup when trying changes, particularly when spawning later submarine types in an earlier era.
