Base Body Texture and Model

Model Sex

The Project Zomboid character model has two main modes: Male and Female. All clothing meshes have a male and female counterpart, there are different skin sets for male and female, there are different sets of hairstyles for men and women, etc.

This rig allows you to easily swap between the two sexes seamlessly at any point. It will automatically hide the respective models and options of whatever sex is NOT used.

You can choose whether to use the male or female model even without needing to parse the game's assets.

Base Texture

If the game assets have not been parsed, the rig will default to the first male or female skin, depending on what sex is selected.

If the assets have been parsed, you can change the 'skin set', which will do different things depending on what is selected:

Human

  • Used for humans and zombies
  • Can select the skin tone, the level of zombification, and whether to use chest hair (if male) or stubble
  • Uses body damage and body clothing textures

Skeleton

  • Replaces the human model with the skeleton model, respective of the selected sex
  • Doesn't use body damage or body clothing textures
  • Can choose between the normal skeleton, the burned skeleton, or the muscular skeleton texture
