CTRL-Head and CTRL-LookPoint

HeadRotation

The rig can switch between two different modes of head rotation: manual or looking towards a point. By default, you need to rotate the circlet control around the head (CTRL-Head) to rotate the head.

If you set 'Use Look Point' to 1.0, the head will instead track to CTRL-LookPoint, which looks like a yellow 6-axis shape in front of the head. Moving this control around will have the head face towards it.

Look Point Parenting

The parent of CTRL-LookPoint can be changed to the following:

LookPointParent
  • It can be parented to nothing, meaning it will not follow anything
  • It can be parented to root, meaning it will follow CTRL-Root (which is the default behavior)
  • It can be parented to the pelvis, meaning it will follow CTRL-Pelvis
  • It can be parented to the chest, meaning it will follow CTRL-Chest

LookPointObject

Look Point on Custom Object

There is an additional option called 'Object'. When selected, an additional option will appear letting you input any object in the current Blender scene. Once put in, the look point will copy the location of whatever object you select there.

Values of 'Use Look Point' that are between 0.0 and 1.0 will blend between the two rotations.
