Modded Assets
This rig allows you to import assets from installed Project Zomboid mods in addition to vanilla assets.
Warning
Importing modded assets works fairly well, but it is HIGHLY encouraged to choose SPECIFIC mods instead of all of them at once before parsing the assets. Some assets may not work or may break depending on how they were created by the original modder.
In order to get modded assets in addition to your base game assets:
- Do all the instructions in Getting Assets
- Make sure that the mods you want to pull assets from are actually downloaded on your machine, and the mods are made for B42
- Make sure that you have already put in your Project Zomboid directory
- Click 'Get All Mod Directories'
- Look for the mods you want to pull from in the list that appears, and enable them using the checkbox on the right for their specific rows
- Click 'Parse All Assets'
Note
The more mods you have enabled at once, the longer that the asset parsing process will be.
Once you have parsed all the assets with your mods enabled, the relevant content should be integrated with the vanilla assets.
For instance, after enabling 'Spongie's Hair' and parsing the assets, I can select the custom hair that that mod adds.
Or, if you enable the 'Frockin' Spendor' mods, you can apply some outfits from those mods.
Skin replacements also work. For instance, if using 'Spongie's Classic Textures':
