Needs first:
ardopcf
A graphical client for the ARIM protocol -- keyboard chat, messages and file transfer between stations over an ARDOP TNC on HF. The FLTK counterpart to the curses arim program, by the same author.
EMCOMM file transfer over ARDOP without Winlink infrastructure: point-to-point, no gateway needed. Pairs with the ardopcf this catalog already carries; the closed-source equivalent path (VARIM over VARA) is post-1.0.
A running ARDOP TNC -- ardopcf, configured for your rig and audio -- and rig audio/PTT working. gARIM connects to the TNC's TCP port.
- source (autotools) from https://www.whitemesa.net/garim/src/garim-1.7.tar.gz
- build dependencies:
build-essential,libfltk1.3-dev - configure.ac checks for fltk-config, so libfltk1.3-dev is the one real dependency beyond the toolchain -- the same FLTK the W1HKJ family already pulls in.
- build dependencies:
Note the ardopcf caveat this catalog records: CM108 PTT keying in ardopcf is suspect; serial and VOX keying are unaffected. gARIM inherits whatever keying path the TNC uses.
- probe: none
- strategy: rebuild
- Versioned tarballs at whitemesa.net/garim/src/; the help page states the current version. Slow-moving, single-author (NW8L).
