Codeplug editor for DMR handhelds — one codeplug, many radios

Reads, edits and writes the codeplug — the channel, contact, talkgroup and zone configuration — of a DMR handheld over USB. It keeps the codeplug in its own device-independent format and generates the radio-specific binary when it writes, which is what lets one configuration be sent to radios from different manufacturers.
The manufacturer's own software is Windows-only in every case that matters, and a DMR codeplug is not a small thing to rebuild: a few thousand contacts, a channel list per region, and a zone layout that has to match how you actually use the radio. qdmr is the reason none of that has to live in a Windows VM.
Membership of dialout, which the dmr-radio hardware class requests, and a radio in the right mode — most are programmed over a normal USB cable but the TYT MD-UV380 family is programmed in STM32 DFU mode.
- apt:
qdmr
It ships two programs whose names collide with a different Debian package: qdmr is the GUI and dmrconf is its command-line counterpart, while dmrconfig is a separate project and a separate package. Verified by listing package contents on Debian 13. Reading a codeplug before writing one is not optional advice — a radio whose codeplug is overwritten with a partial one is not bricked but is a long evening.
