Goals

• Wants to sign up for the platform
• Wants to complete his profile
• Wants to find a mentor in Data Science
• Wants to request mentorship
• Wants to get matched with a suitable mentor

Pre-Conditions

• The mentorship platform is operational.
• Mentors from various industries are registered in the system.
• The matching algorithm is active and capable of generating recommendations.
• Abdülmecid has access to the platform website.

Main Flow

1. User opens the mentorship platform homepage.

2. User clicks the “Sign Up” button.

3. System displays the registration form.

4. User enters name, email, and password.

5. User selects “Mentee” as the role.

6. User submits the registration form.

7. System validates the information by requiring user to confirm registration by sending code to its email and creates the account.

8. System redirects user to the profile completion page.

9. User fills in profile details:

   • Major: Computer Engineering (optional)
   • Career Interest: Data Science
   • Skills: Python (Beginner), Statistics (Intermediate)
   • Preferred Industry: Technology / AI
   • Preferred Meeting Frequency: Once per month

10. User submits the completed profile.

11. System analyzes user preferences and skills.

12. System generates a ranked list of mentors who match:

• Data science / AI expertise
• Availability
• Preferred meeting frequency

13. System displays three recommended mentors.
14. User reviews mentor profiles.
15. User selects Ahmet Bulut.
16. User writes a motivation message and clicks “Request Mentorship”.
17. System confirms the mentorship request has been sent successfully.

Criteria

• 1.1.1.1.1 User shall be able to register as a mentee.
• 1.2.2.1 System shall validate user credentials and create an account.
• 1.1.1.1.2 User shall be able to complete a personal and professional profile.
• 1.1.2.1 System shall generate mentor recommendations based on matching criteria.
• 1.1.1.1.3 User shall be able to view mentor profiles.
• 1.1.1.1.4 User shall be able to send a mentorship request.
• 1.1.2.5 System shall notify the user that the request was successfully submitted.
