- Shaping Product's goal, auditory and main concepts with stakeholder.
- Summary: The team held a stakeholder meeting to clarify and refine key requirements for the mentorship platform. Major topics included redefining the mentor role, privacy in matching, mentorship duration, rating/reporting systems, and removing unnecessary features.
- Current Status: Requirements refinement phase — adjusting previously defined features based on a better understanding of the mentor role.
- Key Updates: The mentor role has been redefined from "teacher" to "advisor." File upload functionality has been deprioritized as a result.
- Mentorship is about giving advice, not teaching. Mentors are unpaid volunteers, so expecting them to teach is unrealistic.
- Mentors are responsible for guiding mentees on how to learn and what to learn, rather than directly teaching content.
- Mentorship duration must be defined explicitly. Mentors will choose from predefined options (e.g., 1 month, 3 months, 6 months).
- When the duration ends, the connection between mentor and mentee is terminated.
- Mentors may extend the duration if they wish to continue.
- During the matching stage, mentors will NOT see the mentee's surname or profile photo.
- Only the mentee's first name will be visible to the mentor.
- Purpose: prevent gender-based selection via profile photos and protect mentee identity.
- A keyword-based search bar will be available for mentees to search for mentors.
- Mentees cannot search for or find other mentees.
- After the mentorship relationship ends, mentees can rate their mentor on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
- TO-FILL
- Mentees can report mentors by specifying the problem. Admin users will investigate reported cases.
- Mentees can cancel the relationship before the duration ends, but frequent cancellations will trigger system regulations (e.g., temporary ban).
- After matching and acceptance, the mentor and mentee must define a goal together.
- When the goal is reached, the mentor can end the mentorship earlier than the set duration.
- File upload functionality is no longer a priority. The initial understanding of the mentor role (online lessons) was incorrect; since mentorship is advisory, file sharing is not a key requirement.
- Each mentee can have only one active mentor at a time.
- Admin users can ban users and read/review reports.
- Mentor role redefined as advisory (not teaching).
- Mentorship duration will be selected by the mentor from predefined options; auto-terminates at end.
- Mentee surname and photo hidden from mentors during matching.
- Keyword search bar for mentors will be implemented; mentees cannot search for each other.
- 1–5 star rating system for mentees to rate mentors after relationship ends.
- Mentees can cancel relationships early; frequent cancellation triggers regulations (e.g., temp ban).
- Goal must be set after matching; early termination allowed when goal is achieved.
- File upload feature deprioritized / removed from requirements.
- Each mentee limited to one active mentor.
- Admin can ban users and review reports.
