How to Run the Prototype

The low fidelity prototype can be opened by clicking on the link. Once on the figma website you can run the low fidelity prototype by pressing the play button in the top right corner of the screen.

Functionality

Start Screen

The user starts on the "Start Screen", where they can enter the game by pressing the "Play" button. They can also open the "Sign in" screen by clicking on the sign in button which resembles a person's profile. This sign in button is also available on the following screens.

Sign in Screen

The user can insert a username and password into the respective text boxes, and then pressing the "Sign in" button. Alternatively they could sign in through either their Facebook or Google+ account. The user can also return to the Start screen by pressing the button in the top left corner.

Question Screen

The game displays distorted text in the centre of the screen with the user which input the original text above. Below is text which reads "Write what you can see in the box below." In the final prototype, the user will be able to insert their guess in the text box below but for this prototype, the user can proceed by simply pressing the submit button.

Answer Screen

The text at the top of the screen displays the original text with the original user credited below. In the final prototype, users would be able to proceed to a follow up question by pressing the purple, "Next Question" button but for this prototype, the player can only view this question. Alternatively the user can enter the timeline screen by pressing the orange, "Observe Timeline" button or enter the feedback screen by pressing the green, "Provide Feedback" Button. The "Provide Feedback" button can be also found at the bottom of the Timeline Screen Next Button can be found on both the Timeline and Feedback screens.

Timeline Screen

In the centre of the screen is a timeline of all the previous answers mapping how the text has changed over each iteration.

Feedback

The feedback screen allows the user to provide constructive feedback about the system and how it made them feel. Users can submit their feedback by pressing the "Submit" button in the bottom left corner or return to the answer screen by pressing the "Back" button

Feed back from Tutor

The name Dyslexia Sim …I strongly believe that you should rethink the name and move away from placing the name of the disability in the name. You are also targeting other learning disabilities, so it is incorrect in saying Dyslexia. It’s “Sign In” without the dash.

Also, just a heads up there are a heap of UI Templates for web sign in - just a heaps up for next time to save yourself a bit of time. Since the Sign In is not the key part of the experience

3rd Screen - I don’t understand what I am suppose to be doing here. This is meant to be a prototype where you test on users? You should have real examples here

How did this experience make you feel? Is a very open ended question. Especially when you are dealing with high school students. I can already see the answers being “I dunno” “Good” “Insert emoji here
