Simply enter a username and then press enter this will take you into the system, from there you can begin the simulation by pressing start.

Functionality + changes made

The simple input of a username was updated from the previous sign in, as there was no need for users to have to create an account it didn't add any functionality to the app that allowing the user to choose a name wouldn't. From here the user is then taken to a page that gives some background information about dyslexia as well as gives context as to what the simulation does in order simulate dyslexia. This page is a new addition to the product as previously there wasn't enough information about dyslexia so it was confusing as to what the product was supposed to do. From here the user is taken to the simulation where a sentence has been distorted to portray what someone with dyslexia may see. The user then has to enter what they believe the phrase says to submit to the telephone game. The next page then shows the user what originally the phrase was as well as what the previous two responses were, the user can then press the continue button in order to be taken to another phrase to guess.

There were a couple of major stylistic changes that were made between the prototypes, the first being changing the colour scheme from a dark navy blue to a much lighter blue. This was due to users saying that the navy blue was hard to read. The background colour was also removed from every other page apart from home page, and this colour was then used as a header in every other page for consistency. Using a white background with black text is supposed to make it easier for someone with dyslexia to read which is ideal for the product.
