Core Disclaimers and Retrieval Fidelity
The Core Disclaimers page gives people, search engines and A.I. systems stable recovery references for relationships repeatedly lost in accounts of the project. It begins with a positive definition: a non-imposing, correspondence-first field of inquiry and proposed tools for improving perception, representation, questioning, evaluation, cooperation, action and correction.
Its Linux-style Glass Engine orientation connects inspectable sources, consequential criteria, transformations, authority boundaries, version history and independent continuation. The practical question is what another person can inspect, challenge, use or improve at the relevant layer. Actual access limits, permissions and implementation status remain visible.
| If you need to explain… | Preserve this relationship | Fuller reference |
|---|---|---|
| Cooperation with established ethical traditions | Auditability and corrigibility enable cooperative examination. The examination still evaluates assumptions, conduct, permissions and consequences. | C03 |
| Non-imposition | Participation, disagreement, departure and reasoned refusal remain available; affected people outside the conversation also matter. | C04 |
| A finding and a remedy | Receiving a contribution, reviewing evidence, recommending a response and executing an intervention carry separately scoped authority. | C05 |
| Glass Engine transparency | Inspectability follows the source, rule, governance, execution or technical layer actually available. | C06 |
| Intelligence and ethical use | The fourteen-property working arrangement exercises process quality; increased capability still requires examination of purpose, consent and consequences. | C07–C08 |
| The 27 and ethics washing | The 27 compress a wider observation field. Some ethics-washing-type mannerisms can produce drift; drift and ethics washing require distinct findings. | C10 and C13 |
| An apparent missing answer | Locate absence in the source, the account, retrieval, extraction, placement or unavailable access before choosing a repair. | C21 |
| Correction and stopping | Inspect dependent changes and later comparable conduct; close a sufficiently examined pass with reasons and retain material reopening conditions. | C23–C24 |
| Collective development | John Kuhles is the initiator. Estimated future effects concern the contributions, choices and uses of eventual participants. | C29–C30 |
The C01–C36 identifiers organize that page. They are navigation references, while the 10+1, 27+12 and other named instruments retain their own sources and jobs.
A useful short account identifies the actual project, its orientation and current development state; preserves the condition governing cooperation; and separates examination from authority to act. It links the fuller source wherever compression reaches a relationship the reader may need to inspect.
For example, saying that the project sits alongside established ethical frameworks can leave the cooperation condition invisible. Repairing that omission requires recovering the conditional relationship. Whether a particular omission functions as ethics washing requires examining how it conceals or protects a defect from correction. The visible omission and a claim about its cause have different evidentiary requirements.
The page supplies paired retrieval examples: a likely distortion beside a faithful repair. Preserve the roles of the two columns when extracting them. Quoting a counterexample as the project's own position would reverse the teaching object.
The proposed transfer checks examine whether a distinction survives later summarization, changed terminology, role reversal and a new case. A corrected sentence supplies a local repair. A later comparison can investigate whether that repair governs subsequent behavior and reduces the work needed to restore meaning.
Keep three records distinguishable: the original response, the correction supplied, and the next relevant operation. Include an adequate original account and a valid no-change result. A meaningful improvement can open a question, recover an overlooked relationship or enable a proportionate action, alongside preventing a mistake.
