Admin Guide

Admin tools: /cadmin commands and the settings that can be changed while the server runs.

Access

/cadmin needs the controlserver privilege and a role listed in ROLE_CODES_WITH_ADMIN_RIGHTS (default: admin). Admins also see the Administration tab of the main window (Ctrl+Shift+U): world flags, cities, settings, prices and players.

Daily and hourly processing

Command What it does
/cadmin nday Run the daily charge now: upkeep, fees, taxes, debt
/cadmin nhour Run the hourly tick now: prison hours, village supplies, announced raises
/cadmin backup Make a manual backup — see Backups
/cadmin diag <player> A player's city, mayor state and permissions, for debugging

Cities (/cadmin city)

Command What it does
/cadmin city new <city> Found a city with no mayor on the plot you stand on
/cadmin city delete <city> Delete a city
/cadmin city claim <city> Claim the plot you stand on for the city
/cadmin city radiusclaim <city> <radius> Claim every plot around you within the radius
/cadmin city unclaim <city> Unclaim the plot you stand on
/cadmin city add <city> <player> Put a player into the city
/cadmin city kick <city> <player> Remove a player from the city

City settings (/cadmin city set)

Command What it does
/cadmin city set name <city> <newName> Rename
/cadmin city set mayor <city> <player> Change the mayor
/cadmin city set pvp|fire|blast|nomobspawn <city> on|off City defaults
/cadmin city set open <city> on|off Open or closed
/cadmin city set fee <city> <amount> Citizen fee
/cadmin city set technical <city> on|off A technical city pays no upkeep — for spawn towns and NPC cities
/cadmin city set bonusclaims <city> <amount> Extra plots on top of the level
/cadmin city set tier <city> city|village Turn a city into a village or back

Turning a city into a village gives it a village pole and a granary. Turning a village into a city takes both down and drops what was stored.

Plots (/cadmin plot)

These work on the plot you stand on and ignore the usual rules (disabled types included).

Command What it does
/cadmin plot set permissions <group> <type> on|off Access rights (alias p)
/cadmin plot set pvp|fire|blast|nomobspawn on|off Flags
/cadmin plot type <type> Any type, including mainplot
/cadmin plot fee <amount> Plot tax
/cadmin plot fs <price> Put it up for sale

World flags (/cadmin world)

Command What it does
/cadmin world info World statistics and flags
/cadmin world set <flag> on|off Change a flag
Flag Meaning
pvpew, fireew, blastew, mobspawnew Everywhere: allowed in the whole world, whatever the plots say
pvpfb, firefb, blastfb, mobspawnfb Forbidden: not allowed anywhere, whatever the plots say

Everywhere wins over forbidden when both are on.

Wars

Command What it does
/cadmin startwar <party1> <party2> Start a war between two cities or alliances
/cadmin setbattledate <party1> <party2> [minutesUntilStart] [durationMinutes] Schedule a battle now
/cadmin endwar <party1> <party2> End a war
/cadmin testwar create [name1] [name2] Two throwaway cities next to you, at war — for trying wars out
/cadmin testwar ranges <party1> <party2> <days> <HH:mm> [minutes] Set their battle schedule
/cadmin testwar remove Delete everything testwar made

Live settings (/cadmin setcfg)

/cadmin setcfg <key> <value>

The value is range-checked, saved to claims.json and sent to every online player — no restart. The same values are on the settings pages of the Administration tab. An unknown key or a value out of range is refused with the allowed range.

Tips

  • /cadmin nday tests the daily charge without waiting a day.
  • /cadmin city radiusclaim lays out a spawn town quickly; mark it technical so it pays nothing.
  • bonusclaims grants extra land without touching the level table.
  • Before updating the mod, make a backup — see Installation.
