Plots
A plot is one square column of the world, from bedrock to the sky: 16x16 or 32x32 blocks,
whichever the server chose (PLOT_SIZE). Cities hold land plot by plot. Inside a plot the city can
also cut out smaller 3D spaces — see Sub Plots.
- The city. A plot the city claimed belongs to the city as a whole; its rules are the city's defaults until someone changes them.
- A citizen. The city can sell a plot to one of its citizens. The owner then sets its rules and pays its daily tax.
/plot fs <price> - put the plot you stand on up for sale (0 = free)
/plot nfs - take it off sale
/plot claim - buy the plot you stand on, then confirm with /agree
/plot unclaim - give your plot back to the city
- Only citizens of the city may buy its plots. An embassy plot is the exception: anyone may buy it, and it stays with its owner even if they leave the city.
- Giving a plot back can refund part of what you paid:
PLOT_UNCLAIM_REFUND_PERCENT(0 by default) once you have held it forPLOT_UNCLAIM_REFUND_MIN_AGE_SECONDS. A captured plot refunds nothing. - A plot that a sub-plot reaches into cannot be put up for sale.
Selling a plot to another city is a separate market: Land Market.
/plot set type <type>
Changing the type has a one-time price, paid by the city and confirmed with /agree (in the window,
with a confirmation dialog). Every type also has a daily upkeep the city pays.
| Type | Code | What it is for | Set price | Daily upkeep |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Default | default |
Ordinary land | 0 | 1 |
| Temple | temple |
A respawn point for the city's citizens | 5 | 5 |
| Farm | farm |
Crops grow only here if CROPS_ONLY_ON_FARM_PLOTS is on |
6 | 6 |
| Orchard | orchard |
Fruit trees bear fruit only here if FRUIT_ONLY_ON_ORCHARD_PLOTS is on |
6 | 6 |
| Summon | summon |
Holds a teleport point citizens can travel to | 7 | 7 |
| Embassy | embassy |
A plot anyone may buy, not only citizens | 8 | 8 |
| Prison | prison |
Holds prison cells — see [[Prison System | Prison-System]] | 3 |
| War camp | — | Made with /city war claimcamp during a war, never by hand |
camp_cost |
4 |
Prices are the defaults (PLOT_TYPE_SET_COSTS and *_PLOT_COST in the config, or
/cadmin setcfg plot_set_cost_<type> and plot_cost_<type> live).
- A server can hide types from players with
DISABLED_PLOT_TYPES. Admins can still set them. - A village only has
default,farmandorchard.
A temple plot with a temple block on it is a respawn point. Citizens respawn at their city's temples
according to /city set respawn, and can pick one particular temple by right-clicking its block with
an empty hand. See Cities.
| Command | Effect | Daily cost |
|---|---|---|
/plot set pvp on|off |
Players may fight here | 3 per no-PvP plot, only if ADDITIONAL_COST_OF_NO_PVP_PLOT is on |
/plot set fire on|off |
Fire spreads | — |
/plot set blast on|off |
Explosions break blocks | — |
/plot set nomobspawn on|off |
Hostile mobs do not spawn here | 3 per plot (PLOT_NO_MOBSPAWN_FLAG_COST) |
A newly claimed plot takes the city's defaults (/city set pvp|fire|blast|nomobspawn). A plot in a
plot group follows the group's flags. The server can
override everything with world flags (/cadmin world set ...).
Who may use (doors, chests, mechanisms), build (place and break blocks) and attack (animals) on the plot:
/plot set permissions <group> <use|build|attack> on|off (alias: p)
Groups: citizen, stranger, ally, friend. Details: Permissions and Ranks.
Inside a sub-plot, the sub-plot's own rights apply instead of the plot's.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|

/plot set name <name> |
Name the plot |
/plot set fee <amount> |

-
Border grid —
.claimsbordersdraws a wireframe on the edges of city land around you, in each city's colour, plus the outline of nearby sub-plots. -
Plot markers —
.claimsmarkersshows small squares over nearby plots: PvP, fire, explosions, mobs, and what you may do there. - World map — the Plots map layer colours every claimed plot by city.
See GUI for all of them.
