Translate a Godot engine game and embed the translation into the game. After that, the game runs without any translation tool.

- You completed the [Basic Tutorial] one time
- A clean copy of the game: not translated
- Games exported with
Godot 4are supported. The.pckcan be a separate file or embedded in the.exe. ForACTION GAME MAKERgames, which are based onGodot 4, also use this tutorial - Download
LGBaseFont.zipfrom [LGBaseFont]
⚠️ We recommend that you make a full copy of the game folder and work on the copy
⚠️ Godot 3and earlier versions are not supported. Encrypted.pckfiles are not supported
- Open
Project Home - Drag the game folder or
.exeintoCreate Project - Click
Create Project
The app identifies external and embedded .pck files in the folder automatically. Do not select a .pck file directly. A valid extracted resource folder does not need an .exe file. If the folder contains more than one package, selecting an .exe still gives a conflict. Check that you selected the correct game folder.
✅ Result: the game resources are extracted into the game folder, and the original
.pckor.exemoves to thebackup_lgfolder
⚠️ backup_lgcontains the original game files. Do not delete it💡 After extraction, the game reads the resources directly from the folder. You can start the game one time to make sure that it still runs correctly
In AGENT, click in sequence:
| Step | Instruction | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| ① | Help me extract terminology |
Keeps character, place, and item names consistent |
| ② | Help me translate the full text |
Translates the game text |
| ③ | Help me review and correct the translation |
Finds errors and code problems |
💡 AGENT loads the
godotskill automatically and processes text by the engine rules. No extra setup is necessary💡 After terminology extraction, check the character names and genders
- Click
Generate Translation - Open the
{project name}_Translated/{game folder name}/folder - Copy all of its contents into the game folder and overwrite files with the same names
- Start the game
✅ Result: the game shows the translation and runs correctly
- Extract
LGBaseFont.ttffromLGBaseFont.zip - Open
Toolbox-Modify Game Font - Drag in the game folder or
.exe, thenLGBaseFont.ttf, and clickModify - Start the game
✅ Result: the game shows the translation with
LGBaseFont
For any problem that you see in the game, give AGENT a screenshot:
| Problem | What to say |
|---|---|
| Text is not translated | This UI text is not translated, here is the screenshot, find it and translate it |
| The game shows an error or a function stops working | The game shows an error, here is the screenshot, help me find the translations that cause it |
| Text shows as boxes | The text in the game shows as boxes, here is the screenshot, how do I fix it |
After AGENT corrects the problem, do step 3 again. If you changed the font, do the extra step again.
💡 The code of a Godot game can compare text directly. Some translated text can cause buttons, dialogs, or saves to stop working. You can also give AGENT a screenshot of these problems
💡 Text that shows as boxes usually means that the game font does not support the target language. Do the extra step
💡 To restore the original game, copy the files from
backup_lgover the game folder
How do I know if a game is Godot?
- The game folder usually has a
.pckfile with the same name as the.exe - Drag the game folder into
Create Project. If the app identifies it, it is Godot - You can also give AGENT a screenshot of the game folder:
This is the game folder, tell me which engine it uses and which tutorial to read
The game has more than one language. Which one is translated?
- Only one language is translated. Usually, this is the default language of the game
- If the game changes to a different language because of the system language or the language menu, it shows the original text of that language. Change back to the default language in the game
Which content is not translated?
- Game code written in
C# - Text-format
.tscnand.tresfiles, and custom data files such asJSONandCSV - Text in images
Does the translated game still need LinguaGacha?
- No. The translation is written into the game files
