Module: settings

The settings module provides a mean to store user configurable variables between application runs. It has procedures for saving and loading settings to a file and keeps all the settings in a table.

Note that there can only be one unique settings table, unlike a store. Also note that this is not thread-safe. It does not use a mutex, so do not access it from multiple threads.

Functions in this module:

Function Short Description
(settings-init defaults) Initializes settings table with default setting values and loads previously saved settings
(settings-set! key value) Sets one of the settings and saves all settings to the settings file
(settings-ref key . fback) Returns the value of a setting
