Kachinuki tournament

Introduction

Kachinuki is a king-of-the-hill style tournament. The winner remains on the shiaijo to face the next opponent in sequence.

Match example

The following example shows a 5-team Kachinuki sequence:

Fight Pairing Result Next state
1 Team 1 vs Team 2 Team 1 wins Team 1 remains on the shiaijo
2 Team 1 vs Team 3 Team 1 wins Team 1 remains on the shiaijo
3 Team 1 vs Team 4 Team 4 wins Team 4 remains on the shiaijo
4 Team 4 vs Team 5 Draw Draw resolution is applied according to the selected Kachinuki rule

This sequence illustrates how the current winner keeps fighting until defeated, and how a draw in the last fight is resolved using the configured draw policy.

Options

In case of a draw during a match, the resolution can be determined by selecting an option specifying how it should be resolved. By default, both teams are disqualified; however, you have the choice to decide whether the king stays on the shiaijo or if the last team takes their place.
