The easy way

Use the CurseForge app, search for Goblinomics, click install. Done. Goblinomics ships as several addon folders (the core plus modules and connectors), and the app takes care of all of them, including updates.

By hand

Download the zip and extract every folder that starts with Goblinomics into

World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/

You should end up with these:

Goblinomics
Goblinomics_Vault
Goblinomics_Ledger
Goblinomics_Gatherer
Goblinomics_Workshop
Goblinomics_Insights
Goblinomics_Import
Goblinomics_Link
Goblinomics_Connector_TSM
Goblinomics_Connector_Auctionator
Goblinomics_Connector_CraftSim

Then restart the game completely. A /reload doesn't pick up new addon folders.

If you only copy Goblinomics and forget the rest, the addon loads but has nothing to show. The core is just the frame everything else plugs into.

Requirements

  • WoW Retail 12.1 or newer. On an older client Goblinomics prints one line saying so and stays switched off without touching your saved data.
  • TradeSkillMaster or Auctionator. Technically optional, practically not. Without one of them Goblinomics only knows vendor prices, and your wealth will look like you just rolled a fresh alt. Auctionator is the simpler choice. TSM gives you more price sources and a sale rate, which Goblinomics uses to tell apart items that sell from items that just sit there (see Vault and Jealousmeter). For TSM's market prices you need the TSM desktop app running so it has auction data.
  • CraftSim is optional. If it's there, the Workshop can compare its cost estimates with what your crafts actually cost.

You don't need to install the connectors separately. Goblinomics_Connector_TSM only loads when TSM is installed, the Auctionator and CraftSim ones likewise. It's fine to leave all three in your AddOns folder.
