Multifaceted
Tonatiuh++ has the capability of developing and supporting multi-faceted, multi-aiming adaptive optics heliostats. Adaptive optics can have variable focal length by controlling individually each facet that composes the entire heliostat. These are particularly useful for application and use in multi-tower configurations. Figure below provides an example of a Adaptive optics heliostat with a 4x4 facet array configuration. The distinctive characteristic is that while the entire facet array is sitting on a global tracking assembly, each one of the facets sits on a local tracking configuration. This enables each facet to individually aim at a specified position for the current global position

Since each one of the facets can track independently, specified facets can be aimed at different targets at the same time as shown in Figure below.
