Field reation from external files

Tonatiuh++ offers the possibility of importing a heliostat field from external files. As an example, Figure below shows the automatic creation of the Dewa heliostat field by using an external .csv file generated by SolarPilot. The field consists of 70000 heliostats and a tower of 260m in height. In the .csv file, the coordinates of each heliostat are given and, through scripting, Tonatiuh++ automatically generates the entire heliostat field. The geometrical characteristics of heliostats, receiver and tower are easily controlled also from within the script.
