Fishing Gear
Avid Angler can save a fishing equipment set and use it during the fishing loop.
The addon uses a Blizzard equipment set named:
AvidAngler
Use Save Gear in Settings or the setup wizard to save your currently equipped gear as the AvidAngler equipment set.
You can also use:
/aagear save
If no other equipment sets exist yet, the Settings screen and setup wizard can show a confirmation asking whether Avid Angler should create a Default return set plus the AvidAngler fishing set.
Use Equip Gear to enable automatic gear swap if the AvidAngler set exists.
When enabled, Avid Angler equips the AvidAngler set before casting and restores your previous named equipment set after fishing loot.
You can manually equip the saved fishing set with:
/aagear equip
After the AvidAngler equipment set exists, the Save Gear button changes to View Gear in Settings. View Gear opens the character screen and equips the AvidAngler set so you can review or manage it there.
Gear commands are gated by current character state. If combat lockdown or death prevents safe gear changes, Avid Angler waits or refuses the action rather than forcing it.
- Equip the gear you want to fish in before pressing Save Gear.
- Keep a normal named equipment set if you want Avid Angler to restore it after fishing.
- Use Blizzard's equipment manager to adjust the saved set after it exists.
