Contributing Guidelines

Getting Started

1. Fork the repository
2. Clone and branch from beta
3. Make changes
4. PR to the beta branch

Branching Policy

• main: stable releases only
• beta: active development, target for PRs
• Feature branches: created from beta

Code Style

• Standard .NET naming (PascalCase for public, camelCase for locals)
• Use CommunityToolkit.Mvvm source generators instead of manual INotifyPropertyChanged
• Always create an I*Service interface alongside the implementation
• Keep views declarative, logic in ViewModels
• All user-visible strings go through localization (Resources/strings.csv)

Releasing

Push a tag:

Tag pattern	Releases
dvmodmanager-v*	DVModManager (win-x64 + linux-x64)
dvmodprofiles-v*	DVModProfiles

Tags with -beta create draft/prerelease releases.

Bug Reports

Use the bug report template. Include your DV Mod Manager version, OS, steps to reproduce, and log files from <AppData>/DVModManager/logs/.
