Platform Independent Models

The models are true for any autonomous, semi-autonomous and even any human driven vehicle.

For example, the models express rules such as: the space between two adjacent Lane Divisions constitutes a Lane. (We use initial caps when we refer to modeled terminology). The models also say that a set of adjacent Lanes flowing traffic in the same direction is called a Conduit and that every Road Segment (in the world!) must be either a Shared Road Segment, a Two Way Road Segment or a One Way Road Segment and that any given Conduit must be in one of the last two types of Road Segment. These are pretty bold statements and, possibly they are incorrect, though we don't think so. Whether you agree with them or not, they represent the driving environment and not the design of any particular driving platform. We have modeled many, many such rules and still have a lot of ground yet to cover.
