Driving Lane Reconfiguration

A location within a Road Segment where one or more Driving Lanes begins or ends constitutes a reconfiguration of the lane structure. The Ego Vehicle will often take significant action to adjust to any upcoming reconfiguration. This includes mid-road Turn Lanes, Merges, Forks and Intersection Interfaces.

Numbered uniquely within each Road Segment such as DLR1, DLR2, ...

Type: DLR ID, based on Nominal

Start location

This is the location of the reconfiguration or, if the reconfiguration spans across a longitudinal distance as is the case with a merge or fork, the point where the reconfiguration is observed or signaled to begin. Depending on the type of reconfiguration, there may be additional locations of interest up ahead, with each explained in the relevant subclass description.
