Fork Lane
A new Driving Lane is created fed by a single adjacent Driving Lane. It is distinct from a Convergence which can be fed by multiple Driving Lanes. These commonly appear as left or right turn lanes, or extra lanes added on the freeway.
Here is the basic geometry:
And here is a real world example where two Forks appear left and right of a Road Segment:
- LR ID + Inside division + Road segment
This is the minimum distance ahead of the Ego Vehicle where the Fork can first be entered.
