Walk Signal Span

One or more Crosswalks may share the same walk signal. For example, a crosswalk from a road edge to a median and then from that median to the opposite road edge are often regulated by the same walk signal.

On the other hand, separate signals may gate pedestrian traffic across wide road span with an Island or two in between.
