R205 / Generalization

Driving Lane Termination is a Merge Lane, Intersection Exit Lane, Mid Road Turn Lane, Split Entrance Lane, or Convergence Entrance Lane

In each of these cases two Lane Divisions which were previously adjacent to one another are no longer adjacent. A Merge Lane terminates as it empties traffic into an adjacent Driving Lane. All Driving Lanes terminate at an Intersection Entrance and a Mid Road Turn Lane terminates at the exit of the turn. Both Convergence Entrance Lanes are eliminated when they squeeze together to initiate a new Convergence Exit Lane. A Split Entrance Lane dissolves into a pair of Split Exit Lanes.
