- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- .NET 8 SDK
Optional:
- Visual Studio 2022
git clone https://github.com/YourName/GettingUpModdingTool.git
cd GettingUpModdingToolBuild the project in Release configuration:
dotnet build GettingUpModTool.sln -c ReleaseRun the application directly from source:
dotnet run --project src\GettingUpModTool\GettingUpModTool.csprojThe repository may also include convenience scripts such as:
build.batrun.bat
To create a standalone Windows build without requiring the .NET runtime:
dotnet publish src\GettingUpModTool\GettingUpModTool.csproj -c Release -r win-x64 --self-contained true -o dist\GettingUpModTool-win-x64-self-containedThe generated files will be available in the output directory.
When modifying the project:
- Keep changes compatible with the current .NET version.
- Test exports and resource loading after changes.
- Avoid committing generated build files.
