Object Browser

The Object Browser is designed to browse and inspect object assets from Getting Up game files.

It provides access to props, usable objects, vehicles, scenery and other static meshes.

Object Browser

1. Category list

The category panel allows objects to be filtered by type.

Available categories may include:

  • Weapons / usable objects
  • Paint / graffiti
  • Phones / electronics
  • Crates / boxes
  • Pickups
  • Vehicles
  • Furniture
  • Cinematic props
  • Static scenery

Selecting a category filters the available objects.

2. Object search / list

The object list displays the meshes available in the selected category.

Each entry shows:

  • Object name
  • Internal game path

Use the search field to quickly find an object by name.

3. Selected object information

The selected object information panel displays technical details about the mesh.

Depending on the asset, this can include:

  • Mesh name
  • Number of sections
  • Render batch count
  • Vertex count
  • Triangle count
  • Texture count

This provides a quick overview of the selected object.

4. Object textures

The Object textures panel shows the textures linked to the selected object.

Select a texture to inspect its associated material or preview data.

5. Object preview

The preview area displays the selected object texture or preview image.

This makes it possible to inspect the object before opening the mesh in the 3D Viewer.

6. Open in 3D

Click Open in 3D to load the selected object into the 3D Viewer.

From there, you can inspect:

  • Geometry
  • Mesh sections
  • Materials
  • Textures
  • UVs
  • Skeleton data when available

See 3D Viewer.

7. Export actions

The bottom toolbar provides export and file actions.

Available actions may include:

  • Export PNG — export the selected texture
  • OBJ — export the mesh as OBJ
  • Blender / glTF — export for Blender workflows
  • Show in Explorer — open the file location in Windows Explorer
  • All textures — view related textures
  • Close — close the Object Browser

The bottom-left area may also display technical information about the selected texture, such as:
