The normal animal workflow starts in the Animal Dashboard.
- Open Animal Dashboard.
- Tap Herd Management.
- Add a herd or breed group such as cattle, goats, or poultry.
- Open that group and add individual animals.
- Use the animal screens to keep records current over time.
FarmPath supports several animal-related workflows:
- Herd and breed grouping
- Individual animal records
- Animal management details
- Animal-ledger history
- Group-ledger history
- Milking logs
- Animal events and reminders
If you keep dairy animals, a common workflow is:
- Open the herd or animal list
- Open the Milking Log
- Enter the session details
- Save the record
These logs can support dashboard visibility and animal-level history.
Sales and expenses can also be assigned to an animal or herd. This helps with:
- Per-animal reporting
- Herd-level profitability review
- Cleaner animal ledger history
To keep animal records useful over time:
- Create herd groups first
- Use consistent animal names or tags
- Log events soon after they happen
- Assign sales and expenses to the correct animal or herd when relevant
- Review animal and group ledgers regularly
