Data Deletion

This Data Deletion Policy explains how users may delete data stored within the FarmPath application ("App").
FarmPath is designed to give users control over their farm data.
Users retain ownership of all data entered into FarmPath.
This includes:
- Farm records
- Financial records
- Animal records
- Equipment records
- Mapping data
- Maintenance logs
- Operational notes
Users may delete this data at any time.
Users may delete data using the following methods:
Users may:
- Delete individual records
- Delete categories of records
- Clear operational logs
- Remove mapping data
Deletion occurs immediately on the local device.
Users may delete all local data by:
Deleting the FarmPath App from their device.
This removes locally stored data.
If CloudKit sync is enabled:
Users may remove cloud data by:
Disabling sync inside the App
or
Signing out of iCloud
or
Deleting shared records
Apple manages cloud infrastructure.
Cloud data removal may take time depending on Apple systems.
If data is shared with other users:
Deleting shared records may:
- Remove the data for all users
- Remove access for collaborators
- Create sync conflicts
Users initiating deletion accept these risks.
We are not responsible for deletion performed by authorized users.
FarmPath may allow users to create backups or exports.
If backups exist:
Deleting records inside the App may not delete:
- Exported files
- Manual backups
- User-created archives
Users are responsible for deleting exported files they create.
Local deletion:
Immediate
Cloud deletion:
Dependent on Apple CloudKit processing times.
Backup deletion:
Depends on user storage locations.
Certain technical data may remain temporarily including:
- Crash logs
- Diagnostic data
- System error reports
This information contains minimal operational data and is retained only as necessary for system reliability.
We may retain limited information if required by law including:
- Legal compliance obligations
- Fraud prevention
- Security investigations
FarmPath does not maintain centralized farm record databases.
Most user data remains under user control.
If FarmPath introduces user accounts:
Users may request deletion by contacting:
Account deletion may include:
- Removal of user identifiers
- Removal of account metadata
- Removal of associated data where possible
Some records may remain where legally required.
Subscription purchase records are maintained by Apple.
We do not control this information.
Users must contact Apple for subscription data removal.
Purchase records cannot be deleted by FarmPath because they are managed by Apple.
Users may manage purchase history through their Apple account.
Users are encouraged to export data before deletion.
Once deleted:
Recovery may not be possible.
Deleted data may not be recoverable.
FarmPath does not guarantee:
- Historical recovery
- Backup restoration
- Data reconstruction
Users assume responsibility for maintaining backups.
Users must ensure:
- Devices are secured
- Devices are wiped before transfer
- Devices are reset before sale
We are not responsible for data left on user devices.

Updates will be reflected by the Last Updated date.
FarmPath is designed so:
- Users control their data
- Users can delete their data
- We do not sell user data
- Most data remains on user devices
We believe your farm data belongs to you.
