Appearance
The Appearance page controls how TypeWhisper looks and how the dictation overlay is laid out while you record.
The current Linux build's Appearance page centers on the dictation-overlay layout shown above (Position and the Left/Right content widget selectors), plus the live Preview.

The dictation overlay is configurable. You select which widgets appear while you dictate:

|---|---|
| Indicator | A recording indicator while dictation is active. |
| Waveform | A live audio-level waveform visualization driven by your microphone input. |
| Text | Transcribed text, including live partial-transcript text when a streaming-capable engine is active. |

The live audio-level waveform reacts to your speech as you record, so you can confirm the microphone is picking you up.
