History

The History page keeps a searchable record of your recent transcriptions and the text TypeWhisper has produced. It also turns the edits you make into correction suggestions that can feed your dictionary.

The History page: search box, app filter, Export / Clear all, the entry counter, and the timeline of recent transcriptions

Searchable history and recent transcriptions

History stores your transcriptions so you can search and review recent results. You can search across past entries to find a specific transcription.

An expanded history entry showing its full text, metadata (date, word count, language), and per-entry actions: Edit, Copy, Add term, Play, and Delete

Note: History can contain personal or sensitive transcribed text. Treat it like any other record of what you have dictated, and use the retention controls below if you do not want transcriptions stored indefinitely.

Retention

History retention is configured on the Advanced page, with modes Duration (default 90 days), Forever, or Until app closes, plus a Save to history toggle for runs you do not want stored. See Advanced settings for the full set of retention controls.

Correction suggestions

TypeWhisper generates correction suggestions from the edits you make to entries in history. These suggestions can optionally be auto-learned into your dictionary, and they carry confidence scoring so you can judge how reliable a suggested correction is.

To have corrections saved to your dictionary, you must turn on Auto-learn approved history corrections on the Dictation settings page — it is off by default. With it on, clear phrase-level corrections from your history edits flow into the Dictionary as entries (tracked with a CorrectionSuggestion or AutoLearned source) so future transcriptions apply the correction automatically. With it off, your edits are kept in history but no dictionary entry is created.

Once a correction is learned, it appears in the Dictionary as a Correction-sourced entry — see the entry screenshot on the Dictionary page.
