Process Audio Score Structure
How the bible's two voices live in the music: the themes and how they meet across the arc.
The arc itself sits in Story and the art bible. This document maps the score onto the same beats those bibles use, so the music tracks the picture and the prose without inventing its own structure. Like the bible, this is the team's opening position; the per-beat shapes are the composer's.
There are two leitmotifs the player learns. Construction has one and Reality has the other. The two are written to be related at the level of interval or shape, not melody, so that when they begin to meet in Reconstruction the player feels the connection before they can name it.
The shape of each theme is the composer's; the relation between them is what the structure relies on.
Construction. The Construction theme runs the venues. The piano reduction is the bone the venue treatments hang from.
Cracks. The Construction theme starts to misbehave in small, deniable ways. None of the cracks quote the Reality theme, which the player has not heard yet; what cracks is the Construction music's relation to itself.
The break. The Construction theme stops at the championship win. The Reality palette arrives as room before it arrives as music.
Reality. The Reality theme arrives quietly and acoustically. It does not contend with the Construction theme; it does not know about it yet.
Reconstruction. The two themes begin to share material. The reconciliation is in the score because it is in the protagonist.
The cliff and the call. The dial is where the two themes meet for real. Restraint is what carries it. The full reconciliation belongs to the credits; the reach belongs to the call.
Credits. The two themes that did not know each other in Part 1 share a single arrangement. This is the synthesis the score has been working toward across the arc.
Postgame. Both themes coexist freely. Neither palette is doing substitute work any more.
Not stingers tied to gameplay events. Not a victory cue every round. Not a separate menu theme that lives outside the world. The score is the world's, not the game-shell's.
The composer holds the themes. The engine team holds the seam between composition and runtime (Tech Pipeline). Sound design (Sound Design) is a separate discipline; its work is not the leitmotifs.
