Process Rituals Calendar
The cadence the named rituals fire on.
Each cycle has two ritual Mondays.
- Morning: Carnival. The cycle's playtest gate fires on the mid-cycle Monday. The build that goes in is the player-facing work that landed since the previous release.
- Afternoon: Heist. If the Carnival clears, the Heist runs the same afternoon and the release lands. If the Carnival fails, the Heist is aborted, fix work becomes the priority for week two, and the release slot rolls to the next cycle's mid-cycle Monday.
If the Carnival clears, week two carries on with the cycle's in-flight work; the release is mid-cycle, the cycle is not done.
The end-of-cycle reflection fires on the cycle-close Monday. Per project-management.md, the buffer day also covers next-cycle setup.
Work that misses a cycle's release slot rolls into the next cycle's release slot. The Tuesday-to-mid-cycle-Monday window of the new cycle is the next chance to ride the coaster; the second-half window of the current cycle is the one after that.
Hotfixes ship when needed, on any day, on their own clock, and supersede the routine release. The routine release continues on its slot once the hotfix is out.
