Other emulators (My Boy!, John GBA, mGBA…)

PKForge recognises a save by its content, not by which emulator wrote it. Every Game Boy, GBA, DS and GameCube profile uses the same scanner; the profile only changes the name and icon shown, and which subfolders are checked first.

So an emulator that is not in the list can still be used:

  1. Find where it keeps its battery saves (in-game saves, not save states). Many emulators write a .sav next to the ROM by default, or in a save folder you can see in their settings.
  2. Link that folder with the closest profile: Linkboy works well for GB / GBC / GBA folders because it also walks ROM folders; melonDS for DS folders.
  3. Or open the file directly with Single save file.

Accepted file names: .sav, .srm, .bin, .dat, .dsv, .bak, .main, or no extension. Emulator padding (such as the extra bytes some emulators append to GBA saves) is detected and kept when PKForge writes.

Note

These emulators are not tested one by one. If yours is not found, run Settings > Misc > Scan report and send it to us on Discord so we can add a proper profile.
