The Arms tab

A character's or creature's attacks and defenses are all shown on their actor sheet on the Arms tab. The top half of the tab shows the movement block and available defenses. The bottom half shows all available attacks which could be natural attacks, innate attacks from talents, or from weapons available in the Inventory tab.

Arms tab

If an attack is from a weapon in the inventory, you can equip and unequip it directly in the Arms tab by clicking the "Hand" icon in the first column. If a weapon is not equipped, or is not available (e.g., it is broken) then it will be greyed out.

Movement

The movement block shows how far you can move. If you are encumbered, it will grey out any pace you cannot reach. You can change the movement mode in the header (running, swimming, flying, etc.).

Single target attacks

Making a melee or ranged attack

  1. Make sure you target your opponent's token.

Targeting the Big Angry Bear

  1. Open your actor sheet on the Arms tab.
  2. Select the attack you want to make and click the Attack button in the Total OB column. This button shows the OB for the attack. If you hover over it, it will change to "ATTACK".

Targeting the Big Angry Bear

  1. It will then open the Attack dialog. Fill out any relevant values and ask the GM if there are any other modifiers to add to the OB roll.

IMPORTANT: You must give time for your opponent to respond, and set their defenses on their own actor sheet.

Attack dialog

  1. Once you have confirmed the defender is ready and asked the GM for any other modifiers, click Ok and it will roll the attack and any critical and send the result to the chat sidebar.

Attack result chat card

  1. If you did damage or injuries, you can click the "Apply Damage" to transfer it to the opponent. Some injuries show as icons on the token, like stun or bleeding.

Token showing damage effects

  1. Your opponent can see the full damage on their Conditions and effects tab.

Fumbles

If you roll a fumble it will be shown in the chat card.

Fumble chat card

Click the Roll Fumble button at the bottom of the chat card. The result of the fumble will be shown on the next chat card.

Fumble result

If the fumble results in damage, click the Apply Damage button to transfer the damage to your character sheet.

Breakages

If you roll a natural 33 or 77 in an attack you must roll for Breakage. This will be included in any attack chat card result after the roll information and before any damage or critical information.

Breakage chat card

Click the Roll Breakage button, and if damage is done, click the Apply Damage button to reduce the Strength of the weapon you used in the attack.

Making a Directed Spell attack

See the Spells page for making a Directed Spell attack. Other than the preliminary SCR roll, the attack follows the same process as melee and ranged attacks.

Area Attacks

Making an area attack

  1. Some attacks, particularly innate attacks from talents, affect an area. Select the target you want to target as the "center". Then click the Attack button on the Arms tab.

Area attack

  1. The system will try to optimize the location of the area to capture as many targets as possible, and also try to get them into on the center line (for line and cone attacks) or inside the area (for spherical attacks). It places a template showing what is covered and creates a chat card showing the targets and any size adjustments because of their location.

Area attack template

  1. You can move the template using the arrow buttons on the chat card.

Area attack template chat card

  1. Once you are happy, return to the Arms tab. You will see the attack button is pulsing to show it is "armed" and ready to fire.

Area attack button in armed state

  1. Clicking the button again will open the area attack modifier dialog. Fill in any details, asking the players or GM to confirm their state.

Area attack modifier dialog

  1. Once you hit Ok, it will roll the attack and any criticals for each target and generate a normal attack chat card for each target with an Apply Damage button.

Making an area Spell attack

These follow the same process as innate area attacks but are found on the Spells tab.
