Movement Tracking

Movement

Movement is automated for combatants in Combat Tracker.

Dedicated Movement vs. Movement while Acting

  • AP spent on Dedicated movement is penalty free. Actors can reach a higher Pace using Dedicated Movement AP.
  • Movement while Acting is movement during AP not dedicated to movement. This movement will trigger a pace penalty for that action. The pace penalty is offset by Footwork skill for melee/thrown actions or Mounted Combat when mounted. The pace penalty is the maximum pace moved during the current action that was not dedicated to movement.

Mechanics

Movement can be completed on the map either before or after an action is selected in the action tracker card, but movement will be limited to the maximum distance that can be achieved in the phase for the actor.

If you move and then use an AP on a dedicated movement action you will be able to move a little farther.

AP Movement

If after moving a token (or before), a 'Movement' action is selected in the combat tracker card, the recorded movement data will change to AP movement. This will remove any pace penalty accured for that phase, and an AP will be utilised to make this move. If the token has already been moved (penalty movement) and you then wish to allocate a Movement action, there may be a little more movement that can be utilsed, if the character can move at a pace greater than Run, and this extra movement can be made immidately after selecting the Movement action, as a faster pace is used.

Game Settings

  • Hard Movement Limit When enabled active combatants drag distance will be restricted based on their achievable pace and distance for that AP. When not enabled tokens can be move farther than their movement allows. Holding down shift while dragging will enforce movement limits when this setting is disabled. The default is true.
