Just like playing at the table, Rolemaster Unified works best when all official modules are available. It is possible to run games using only the system (and Core Law), particularly more narrative driven games or games involving only Arms professions.

Spell Law

See Using the Official Compendiums for what is included in the module.

Without Spell Law you will have to create your own spell lists and spells, and you will not have the spell failure tables needed for automated spell casting.

Treasure Law

See Using the Official Compendiums for what is included in the module.

Without Treasure Law you will have to create your own items, and you will not have the alchemist professions, their spell lists or spell failure tables. You will also not be able to enchant items.

Creature Law I

See Using the Official Compendiums for what is included in the module.

Without Creature Law I, you will not have access to the over 400 creatures as there is no simple, in-game method to create creatures until Creature Law II is published. You can still create characters and NPCs as these are part of Core Law and are included in the baseline system.

Creature Law II

Creature Law II has not yet been published. Once it is available from ICE it will be released as a module for Foundry and will contain the ability to create creatures using detailed rules.

RMU Shadow World Races, Cultures and Talents and Languages

This is a content module and is available for free. It contains the full text of the Shadow World Conversion Book in journal form, and includes items for all the Shadow World races, cultures and talents included in that book that can be used during Character Creation. It also registers Shadow World languages in System Settings and Options where, if activated, will make then selectable when added new Language skills on an actor.
