The Inventory tab

The inventory tab shows the character's current weight carried and any encumbrance penalties. Below this is the main inventory where you can add and remove items by dragging them from the sidebar (either the Items sidebar or from Item Compendium).

Note that any weapon, armor, ammo, or clothing item dragged from the Official compendiums (Core Law or Treasure Law) will auto-size to the character they are dragged to, so a weapon dragged to a goblin will be small in size and weight. Item size can still be changed inside the Item Sheet, so if the goblin wanted to use a medium sized weapon they can.

Inventory Tab

Some items can be configured as containers within their Item Sheet. These items can then store items inside them (and, if they are containers, more items inside them, etc). Containers can be collapsed and expanded by clicking the chevron (>) on the far right of the item.

Item controls

Items will show two or four icons on the far right.

Item control icons

  • The Equipped icon (hand): if toggled on then the item is equipped. If the item is armor, it will apply its AT to the relevant body part. If the item is a weapon, the weapon will become active on the Arms tab and can be used for attacks. For other items it simply indicates you are using the item.
  • The Encumbered icon (head): if toggled on then item is being carried on the actor and its weight is affecting encumbrance.
  • The Edit Properties icon: if clicked then this opens the Item Sheet and you can edit the item properties.
  • The Delete icon (trash can): if clicked then this will remove the item (the full stack) from inventory.

Note: when items are inside containers, the Equipped and Encumbered icon are hidden and cannot be changed, but their original states are remembered. If you drag them outside the container you can change their state.

The Item Sheet

Clicking the Edit Property icon will open the Item Sheet. Each item type will have a slightly different sheet layout. More information on each item type can be found under Setup Equipment. This image shows a general item. You can change its quantity, its treatment (standard item, container or stackable item), its description, its weight and cost, and its strength and current breakage penalty.

Drag and drop

Items can be moved within the table, and moved into or out of containers using standard drag and drop. While dragging, the original item locaiton will be highlighted, you will see a faint outline of the item on the mouse cursor, and a line will appear between the rows where the item will be dropped if you release the mouse button.

Stackable items and splitting stacks

Some items are stackable. This can be configured inside the Item Sheet. Stacked items will show their quantity as a button. If you click the button you will see the Split Stack dialog and you can split the pile into two.
