<gawainlynch> ping Bopp carsonfull gawainlynch rossriley SahAssar slick0 et al (you know you want to)
<Bopp> pong
<gawainlynch> Bopp: Did you bring #beer … looks like we might need it?
* [BoltIssueBall] $this->app['bartender']->setDrink('beer')->setTab('gawainlynch')->serveAll();
<Bopp> Well, this speeds up the democratic process, if it's just us. :-)
<gawainlynch> Haha! Exactly my thought too!
<gawainlynch> Nicely done on the Slack jab, Bopp ;-)
<Bopp> 1) Vote for pay-raises for Bob and Gawain.
<SahAssar> pong
<Bopp> Aye!
<SahAssar> Aye!
<rossriley> hello
* SahAssar will accept bribes for that vote ;)
* gawainlynch hands SahAssar a #beer and a bribe
<gawainlynch> OK … rollin' … 2.2 End of Life
<gawainlynch> So far we've agreed on EoY … objections/thoughts?
<Bopp> Yes, let's EOL it.
<rossriley> ugh
<gawainlynch> rossriley: Fire away
<rossriley> just I still have a load on 2.2
<Bopp> That said, SHOULD a serious security issue pop up, I'd still be willing to patch and release an update
<SahAssar> Have we got anything unreleased in that branch?
<rossriley> but, yes… it’s stable
<gawainlynch> SahAssar: Nope
<Bopp> nothing unreleased
<gawainlynch> rossriley: What Bopp said
<gawainlynch> IMHO
<SahAssar> Alrightio, lets send it down the river :)
<gawainlynch> FWIW I still have our sties on 2.2
<hExDJ> Bopp isn't that what 2.2+ versions are?
<hExDJ> patches/updates
<gawainlynch> OK, but what does EoL mean in terms of agreements here, rossriley's concerns in particular
<rossriley> I’m hoping that once I’ve sorted out the extension queue in next version I’ll be able to upgrade
<Bopp> hExDJ: Yes, just that we are currently still officially supporting them.
<gawainlynch> rossriley: That is next item so let's roll that to this one
<SahAssar> gawainlynch: EoL means no official updates/support, right?
<gawainlynch> SahAssar: Yes
<Bopp> SahAssar: Yes, correct.
<gawainlynch> But if there is reason to continue "something" let's hash it out
<Bopp> It means no one can _require_ or _demand_ an update, because we promised.
<gawainlynch> But … the thing here is that e.g. there is zero chance of a 3.1.7
<Bopp> If it's up to me, we end support officially, but i'll be happy to patch security issues, should they arise
<SahAssar> agreed
<rossriley> yes, well if anything comes up I’ll possibly fix for a few months more…..
<gawainlynch> … but are we making "that" call on 2.2.x
<Bopp> gawainlynch: Yes: No chance for a 3.0.x or 3.1.x relese!
<gawainlynch> rossriley: I'd be willing to back you up
<Bopp> rossriley: Same here
<SahAssar> Same here, we got loads on 2.2.X, but officially it's time to let it go
<rossriley> so whether that gets an official release or, I just fork doesn’t make much difference to me
<gawainlynch> OK, so how about this… 3.3.0 === 2.2.x EoL?
<Bopp> Huh?
<gawainlynch> Bopp: The day 3.3.0 is release is the last day of 2.2.x
<Bopp> Oh, i get it!
<gawainlynch> Question
<rossriley> +1
<Bopp> Yes, sounds good
<gawainlynch> SahAssar: ?
<SahAssar> Aye!
<gawainlynch> rossriley: As mentioned, as far as I know and this is next item, 3.3 blockers are local exten … OMFG… that stuff
<Bopp> :-D
<gawainlynch> You're currently kinda overloaded though
<rossriley> gawainlynch: that’s next on my todo
<rossriley> for this week / weekend hopefully
<gawainlynch> rossriley: WFM if it is not too huge a time task
<rossriley> I’m hoping not… I have a plan
<gawainlynch> So collectively, a date on beta?
<Bopp> Monday the 10th (or thereabouts)
<Bopp> ?
<gawainlynch> 10th is a Friday
<Bopp> Monday is the 12th.
<gawainlynch> I was hoping for the 6th
<Bopp> If we do, that's fine with me, but then I dont think we can ship a base-2017 with 3.3
<gawainlynch> …that said, I am not (personally) worried about Ross' work being included, as one way or the other it is breaking
<Bopp> that'll have to be 3.4 then
<gawainlynch> (included in beta 1)
<gawainlynch> I am (still) hoping that carsonfull can close off the FS stuff, as that will deliver fully working (and supported) S3 support
<Bopp> I'd _like_ a new base-2017, but ross' work is essential for it.
<gawainlynch> Bopp: Why is theme reliant on local extensions >
<gawainlynch> ?
<Bopp> gawainlynch: It's not.
* rarilaDroid (~rarila@ipservice-092-211-006-093.092.211.pools.vodafone-ip.de) has joined #boltcms
<Bopp> I meant it in a way that my work is a new feature, not a showstopper.
<gawainlynch> Bopp: /me confusededededed
<gawainlynch> Oh!
<rarilaDroid> Sorry, I'm late
<Bopp> imho, a workaraound for local extensions is a showstopper
<gawainlynch> rarilaDroid: You're early, again! ;-)
<gawainlynch> rarilaDroid: Anything to raise?
<rarilaDroid> No
<Bopp> hey rarilaDroid
<gawainlynch> rarilaDroid: Anything to lower?
<rarilaDroid> gawainlynch: no, too
<gawainlynch> Does anyone have something else to raise?
<rarilaDroid> … or to lower?
<Bopp> Dropping the bass?
<gawainlynch> rarilaDroid: BTW … rossriley is working on the local extension replacement for 3.3 (that'the part you missed)
<Bopp> I'm good. :-)
<Bopp> oh one thing!
<rarilaDroid> gawainlynch: I've missed a part?
<gawainlynch> rarilaDroid: Only the Belgium #beer
* [BoltIssueBall] $this->app['bartender']->setDrink('beer')->setTab('gawainlynch')->serveAll();
<Bopp> We've released 3.2.3 today, thanks to some good efforts by all! It's getting pretty solid. better every 0.0.1 release!
<rarilaDroid> Bopp: I have rad "better than the 0.0.1 releasr" - hope so :-)
<gawainlynch> Yeah, carsonfull is missing, but a fun night last night migrating that annoying occasional test failure
<Bopp> :-D
<gawainlynch> Bopp: Can we do a 3.2.3.1 then … just to get rarilaDroid's CDO going?
<gawainlynch> Been a while … so taking this one …
<gawainlynch> </meeting>
