libpam-u2f

U2F PAM module installed without enabling token login

What it does

Provides the PAM module used by separately configured token-based login or sudo authentication.

Why you would want it

It makes the module available for a later reviewed setup; installing this unit alone has not been measured for archive PAM/debconf side effects on every target. Hammunition itself writes no PAM configuration.

Before it will work

PAM enabling is outside this profile and plan. Keep a working fallback login before any future authentication change.

How it installs

  • apt: libpam-u2f

Known problems

An incorrect PAM setup can prevent login. Hammunition does not write PAM files or register tokens in this phase.

Keeping it current

  • probe: apt policy
  • strategy: apt_upgrade
