Craft it from iron ingots, or empty a Water bucket or Lava bucket.
Use it on a source cell to collect the liquid; flowing cells cannot be collected. Filling and emptying replace the same inventory slot. See Lava for deep lakes and burning hazards, or Pumps and water for renewable water.
