Character Creation: Starting Class & Passions
This step covers your starting class (e.g. a Page, Squire or Maiden in Waiting) and the associated passions. The detailed breakdown of the passions will be shown on the Passions tab.
Clicking on the activate icon will ask you to select your starting Class (irrespective of whether you chose Random or Contructed for the creation method). The list is drawn from the classes in the Archetype which are flagged as starting classes and the options are in "age" order. Generally this means if you are playing a very young character choose the first option (e.g. Page) whereas for older characters choose the second (e.g. Squire).
If you only have one option then the dialog box won't be shown.
Next you will do one of two things depending on the Creation method chosen earlier.
Random Method: Dice will be rolled and a chat message showing the results will be produced showing the starting passion scores rolled. The roll formula is based on the passions set in the Class. Primary passions roll 2D6+8, secondary passions 2D6+3 and tertiary passions 1D6+2. You will also get 4D6+1 points to spend on improving the passions
You will then be presented with a dialog box where you can spend the development points. Click the up arrow to increase the score and the down arrow (which becomes visible after you've spent a point on the passion) to reduce it. Passions can not be reduced below their starting score or increased above 15. Once you have spent all your point click "Confirm".
Constructed Method: Your Primary passions will have a starting score of 15, your secondary will be 10, and your tertiary will be 5. You will be presented with a dialog box in the same way as for the last step of the Random method above, but with a fixed number of points to spend.
The Passion items will need to come from a module or have been set up by the GM.
