📷 Camera Card (camera)

A live picture of a Home Assistant camera. Tap it for full screen, with pinch-to-zoom.

📸 Preview

✨ Features & Possibilities

  • Two modes:
    • stream (default): real motion, from Home Assistant's MJPEG stream. If the stream won't start or drops, the card shows still images for a moment, then tries the stream again.
    • snapshot: a new still image every few seconds. Lighter on the remote's processor; good for a camera whose stream lags.
  • Full screen: tap the picture. Pinch to zoom (up to 8×), drag to move around, Back or ✕ to close. The picture stays live.
  • Fill or fit: crop to fill the card, or show the whole picture with bars.
  • Any ratio: 16:9 by default, 4:3, square…

💡 Doorbell: put the camera on its own page, and in that page's settings use Auto-open on your doorbell entity, as a popup. When someone rings, the remote shows the camera by itself. See Builder.
