The Absurdity Abyss

An all-consuming Void-pit torn into the highest reach of the WeaveWatch Wale, where the Great Weave frays into pure, howling nonsense. Threadlings who have peered over its edge and returned, and few do, describe not darkness but a kind of static laughter, as though the world itself were trying to tell a joke it had forgotten the punchline to.

It is here, above the Abyss, that the ruined Observatory of the Obscure perches, lair of Null and the Obscurists. They call the Abyss sacred, the truest expression of the Void's honesty: that nothing, in the end, means anything in particular. The Elders of the Eternal Loom call it something else, a wound, and forbid StoryWeavers from approaching its rim without a KnitWitch's ward and a story they are entirely certain of.
