Void Birth

The event Threadbare scripture points to as the first frayed edge - the moment the Void, until then only a theoretical absence, became a presence in the world. Most accounts trace it to the LoomLit Festival, the Threadbare-wide celebration of light held in the home of the WishWisps, and to Bobbin Blench, the festival's overseer, whose actions that night are still debated in every tavern and lecture hall in Threadbare.

What is agreed upon is this: something was forgotten that should not have been, on a night meant to celebrate remembering. The light went out of the festival, and did not fully return. Blench has carried the name Wisp Bane ever since, and the Lucent Lakes, once a place of light and community, has never recovered what it lost that night.
