The Great Weaving

The founding act at the root of all Threadbare lore - the mythic moment when Memory, Imagination, and Spirit were first drawn together into a single, luminous fabric: the Great Weave. Scripture and song differ on who, or what, first crossed those three threads, but every telling agrees on the result - a world where every landscape, creature, culture, and language held its own thread, and every story told added to the richness of the whole.

The Eternal Loom is said to be the last living remnant of that first act, still turning, still reweaving, long after the weavers themselves passed into memory, or were forgotten entirely. Threadlings mark no single date for the Great Weaving; it is spoken of less as history than as a standing invitation, renewed every time a StoryWeaver picks up a thread of their own.
