Type scale (1.2 minor third), spacing (4px unit), status colors (earth-toned), syntax highlighting (warm-shifted), shadow/radius/ transition vocabulary. Foundation for component migration.
- chat-shared.css: spacing/font/transition tokens, accent-muted/border vars - hljs-dark.css: replace GitHub syntax colors with warm-shifted tokens
35 components updated: - Font sizes: all px values → type scale tokens (--text-2xs through --text-4xl) - Status colors: var(--green/red/yellow/amber/purple) → var(--status-*) - Syntax highlighting: GitHub hardcoded hex → var(--syntax-*) tokens - Graph palettes: neon GitHub colors → earth-toned palette - Graph CSS fallbacks: removed GitHub hex fallback values - Agent colors: warm earth assignments (brass, sienna, rose, sage, violet, steel) Zero GitHub Dark hex colors remain in the UI codebase.
- Border radius: all hardcoded px → var(--radius), var(--radius-sm), var(--radius-pill) - Transitions: all 0.1s/0.15s → var(--transition-quick), 0.3s/0.4s → var(--transition-measured) - Shadows: standardized to var(--shadow-sm/md/lg), kept directional specials - 29 files, zero behavioral changes
Replace inline emoji data URI with proper SVG file. Georgia serif, brass on dark background with rounded corners. Same mark, crafted.

Complete design system foundation for the Aletheia UI. Every visual decision now traces to a named token with a reason.
Why
The UI was wearing GitHub Dark's clothes. Status colors, syntax highlighting, graph palettes — all copied hex values with no grounding. Font sizes scattered across 16 values with no scale. Border radius in 8 variants with no system. The brass accent was aged hardware on a bonded-leather belt.
Now the construction holds.
